VETTS Regulations

by Susie Venner, Chair, VETTS

We have updated the VETTS Tournament Regulations in line with current practices and circumstances.

This is more about formalising what already exists rather than imposing new Rules or Regulations.

The main updates are:

1. To confirm that membership of TTE (or any other National Association) is not required to participate in VETTS events. Membership of the VETTS is required. Membership is open to all players O/40 and costs £15 a year. See:

https://www.vetts.org.uk/page/37158/VETTS-Membership

  1. To confirm that entries in two singles events must be in consecutive age groups eg 40s and 50s, 60s and 70s. They do not have to be your age group, you can play 'down', but they must be consecutive. The reason we require this is that we need to schedule two events simultaneously in order to complete the tournament in the weekend, but we have significant problems if individuals are playing in non-consecutive events eg 40s and 60s and we need them to play in both events at the same time - it delays the whole programme. This way we know we can schedule eg 40s and 60s without clashes.

3. The doubles event may be groups or knock out.
