Since its formation more than 40 years ago, the VETTS have been fortunate to have several of our members step up to be our Treasurer. Our present Treasurer, Tony Worthington, is now stepping down from this post after many years of voluntary service to the VETTS. We are very grateful to him for his dedication and contribution.
The VETTS now needs a new Treasurer. Ideally, we need someone with an accountancy background or solid experience of bookkeeping and/or financial control. It's not an overly arduous job, but it does need someone who is prepared to oversee our finances. This involves controlling our invoices and payments, and preparing end of year accounts for the agm
We have an online banking system with Barclays, and we have dual-authentication for all our payments.
The role is on the VETTS Executive, who work very much as a team and really do all pull together so there is plenty of support.
It's an important and valued role in the VETTS community, and one which will be elected or validated at the next agm.
Tony will be able to explain more of the role to anyone is interested.
