VETTS SOUTHERN MASTERS 2026.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

Welcome to the first VETTS Masters of 2026. Below is some information about the event.

DATE & VENUE: K2 Leisure Centre, Pease Pottage Hill, RH11 9BP, Crawley, West Sussex. February 7 & 8, 2026.

FRIDAY SET-UP: We need people to help with the set-up of the room on Friday evening. You don't need to be able to carry tables, just if you can help with the nets and score-boards it helps to spread the work-load and means we are all able to make it for dinner at a sensible time. Please come along to help out. Set up on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 7pm. No knocking before set-up is complete.

Also, if you are still around Sunday evening, we always welcome extra hands with the break-down.

This is your Society and this is one of our biggest events. We need your help with these events to make them work smoothly. Thank you.

DRAW: Available on the Tournament Software website:

https://vetts.tournamentsoftware.com/.../7ed3b6c4-2370...

PROMOTION STAND/RAFFLE: As usual, we will have the VETTS Promotion Stand were you can buy a range of small souvenirs. We also have some VETTS kit available to buy directly from the stand (limited number of sizes).

We are grateful for donations of raffle prizes - bottles of wine, chocolates or any unwanted Christmas presents all help. All proceeds go back into the VETTS.

EQUIPMENT: Equipment is supplied by Bribar. The event will take place on 32 x Tibhar Smash tables, using JOOLA Flash 3* balls. Bribar will have a trade stand at the event.

PARKING: Free car parking and an additional over-flow car park (at owner's risk) is available at the venue. However, these do fill up quickly, so please allow ample time.

REMINDERS...

A few gentle reminders please....

Umpiring....if you lose a game, please come to the control table and umpire. We need volunteer umpires to keep the event rolling. Please step up.

Cross knocking....Don't do it! The reason we say no cross-knocking or knocking with multiple balls is that it increases the chances of interrupting the games in progress on neighbouring court.

Score-cards....Check the results before returning the score card - you'd be surprised at the number of times the scores are entered the wrong way round, and we, on control desk, have no way of knowing this, so a losing player could inadvertently go through to the next round. Please check the scores are entered correctly.

Scratches/Absents: Please let the control table know if you are scratching from any event. Also, please check-out with control desk if you are leaving the hall for more than five minutes.

I think that's all folks...…

Thanks to our Tournament Referee, Kim Mudge and her team; and our Tournament Organiser, Brett Holt.

Safe travels to everyone and we look forward to seeing you at Crawley.
