Super 60s & 70s results: Thanks to all our players and volunteers for their contribution to making the Super 60s & 70s weekend at Aldersley a great event.
The top table and support team were fantastic. Not just over the weekend but also in the considerable amount of preparation before hand for the event. So once again a huge thank you to Kim Mudge-Johnson, Cliff Bell, Roger Pingram, Marjorie Dawson. Kim Johnson, Steve and Gwyneth Adams, Ivan Lewis, and Viv Barry. And everyone else who stepped up and helped.
Thanks to our VETTS players who once again demonstrated the values of the Society of competition friendship. And particular thanks to those who turned up on Friday to help set-up and then to everyone who participated in the mass break-down on Sunday - that worked well.
Thanks to our sponsors Bribar and Barry Chapman who have supported this event since the beginning and generously provide the prizes.
And finally, a note about the heating. Well done and grateful thanks to everyone who persevered through the Arctic blizzard conditions of the playing hall. Despite loud and frequent protestations from us, the Centre didn't rectify the problem until late morning on Sunday, nor were we warned about it in advance. We will be formally complaining and will let you know the outcome.
Thanks again - the Super 60s and 70s is now a firmly established event in the VETTS calendar. Next stop to introduce a Super 50s (more on that later).
