It is very sad to hear that VETTS member, Dennis Robinson, passed away on Sunday August 11, 2024. Dennis had been diagnosed with Leukaemia two and a half months ago, after having suffered with many health problems.
He had been away from playing on the VETTS circuit for a few years due to injury, but had previously been a loyal attendee of all the tournaments, and often travelling abroad too. He enjoyed keeping in touch with results even though he no longer attended our events.
Dennis played in local leagues for many years, including Wembley & Harrow, Barnet, Watford, and the Banks and Civil Service League, and represented his Hertfordshire County on numerous occasions. He was the captain of many of his teams, and also did countless administration roles for many years. He was certainly a true contributor to table tennis, on and off the table.
Our sincere condolences to his family and friends from all his friends in the VETTS.
